Adding the App

Prerequisites

Glean integrates with Zoom using the Glean App in Zoom. To set this up successfully and create correctly scoped access tokens, the user setting this up should have an "Admin" or an "Owner" role.

Determine your Zoom base URL

If the URLs of your Zoom instance start with https://glean.zoom.us/... enter https://glean.zoom.us into the "Zoom Base URL" box.

Generate and upload the access and refresh tokens for Zoom

  1. Glean integrates with Zoom using the authorizing user's API access and refresh tokens. If you are the authorizing user, please check if that you have an "Admin" or an "Owner" role.

  2. Authorize the Glean App for Zoom by clicking on Create Authorization Link. Glean will generate an authorization link below which you need to click.

  3. You will be redirected to a page where you can view the scopes Glean will use. There are some optional scopes as well which you can select based on your needs.

  4. After you authorize Zoom, you will be redirected to this page again.

  5. Click Save in Glean. You're all set!

Usage

Once you have set up the integration, you will be able to index and search across your Zoom cloud recordings!

You can ask Glean to summarize your meetings so that you know what your company knows, in seconds!

Removing the App

  1. Login to your Zoom Account and navigate to the Zoom App Marketplace.

  2. Click Manage > Added Apps or search for the "Glean Search Crawler for Zoom" app.

  3. Click the "Glean Search Crawler for Zoom" app.

  4. Click Remove

  5. Once you have removed the app, Glean removes access/refresh tokens from your Glean instance. Crawls would fail and alerts would be raised.
